Buying a holiday home: Once you've
decided that you want a holiday home in the Lake District you have two major
decisions to make. The first is:
Where do I site my holiday home?
Naturally, we want you to choose North Lakes for your Lake District base, so we
are not qualified to advise you on where to site your holiday home! However, we
can help you choose your ideal pitch, advise and arrange transportation to
North Lakes, and make sure you have all the help you need getting set up.
Visit us: It's essential that you
take the time to visit. You need to get a feel for our uniquely tranquil and
natural setting, and find out if this is for you. Take a look around a few
other parks whilst you're in the area and don't forget to compare our spacious
pitches with other sites. If you do visit, please get in
touch first so that someone can be on hand to show you around, explain the
process and answer your questions.
What type of holiday home do I
choose? This is the second big decision. There are two types of holiday
home that we can accept at North Lakes. Either a caravan or a lodge. The one
thing both must have in common is being chasis-mounted and therefore not
permanent. If you need any advice on which companies make acceptable holiday
homes, please look in the sections linked to below.
Lodge holiday homes: A Lodge Holiday Home
is usually chalet style with a pitched room and is the equivalent of 2 caravan
holiday homes bolted together. Wonderfully spacious and potentially luxurious,
you can purchase a lodge holiday home complete with all fixtures, fittings and
furniture, ready to move in. With 2 to 4 bedrooms, you get superior levels of
comfort and facilities in a lodge. Lodges start at around £100,000. The
lodge shown is on the northern edge of our site and enjoys open views to
Skiddaw. For more information on lodges and siting yours at North Lakes,

Caravan holiday homes: A caravan
holiday home has typically 1 to 3 bedrooms, a kitchen, a dining area, shower
room and lounge area. They can comfortably accomodate 4 to 10 people, depending
on layout. There are 2 standard widths - 10 ft (3.1m) or 12 ft (3.7m) and
lengths vary up to a maximum of about 37 ft (11.3m). A new caravan holiday home
will typically cost between £25,000 and £80,000. For more
information about siting your caravan holiday home at North Lakes,

On a budget? We sometimes have
pre-owned holiday homes for sale. They are usually already sited and connected
up and often have a veranda attached. You can also purchase pre-owned holiday
homes from several reputable suppliers. You can make massive savings over
buying and siting a new holiday home. A pre-owned holiday home typically costs
between £5,000 and £20,000. Click

on-site. |
