On-Site Facilities at North Lakes

Although we are not a highly commericalised site, we do try to provide you with a range of good quality facilities. These include the usual washing, cleaning and toilet ammenities as well as recreational activies. We also consider the wide variety of plants and animals that can be discovered on-site as one of our greatest resources.

Bar and Games Room.
You'll find a warm welcome in our cosy bar. Curl up by the log fire on chilly evenings and enjoy a quiet drink in good company. It's a great place to meet up and discuss the day's adventures. It's adults only in the bar, but your youngsters can play in the adjoining Games Room (and you can keep an eye on them through the window in the bar). Here they will find pool tables, video games, a jukebox and a wide screen TV. That should be plenty to keep everyone happy!

Coarse Fishing Lake.
We are very proud to be able to offer coarse fishing in our exclusive private lake in the Park, called Misty Tarn. The lake, which covers more than an acre, is well stocked with Carp, Roach, Bream, Perch, Tench and others, with wild Trout visiting too. For more information about permits, etc. please click here. For non-fishermen there are picnic tables and seating so you too can enjoy the peace and tranquility of Misty Tarn. Please Note: children must be accompanied at all times at Misty Tarn.

Children's Play Area.
We are in the process of developing a small children's play area that provides safe and fun adventure play. This is located in the bottom of the valley where the two streams meet. The whole Park can be considered a haven for children with little traffic and acres of space to run free and explore. If your children enjoy discovering the natural world, take a look at the Nature Trail to see what's in store for them at North Lakes. All we ask is that you make sure your children respect the other Park residents and the environment. You should supervise your children around Misty Tarn and also along the streams - even a small depth of water can be fatal.

Wash Blocks.
There are 3 wash blocks across the Park providing toilet, shower, and washing up facilities. All have been fitted with new hot water boilers for the 2002 season. In 2 blocks there are also laundry facilities with washing machines and tumble dryers.
