About Us at North Lakes Caravan Park

North Lakes Camping and Caravan Park has been owned and run by Trisha and Jackie Frew since 1984. The Park is one of the largest within the Lake District National Park boundary, but it retains all of the natural charm and beauty of this wild and wonderful landscape. This is due to Trisha and Jackie's vision for a simple, tranqil haven in an increasingly hectic world.

Before coming to North Lakes Trisha was a nurse and Jackie was an electrical engineer and works maintenance manager. In a complete change of direction they decided to escape the rat-race and establish their own little corner of calm in the Lake District.

Right from the beginning they have developed North Lakes in sympathy with its environment. Their vision is to create a retreat, a tranquil and natural place to escape the pressures of everyday living. A place where you can get back to the simple things in life and rediscover yourself.

North Lakes isn't a commercialised site. The pitches are large and the facilities are low key. If you are looking for extensive recreational facilities on-site and night life laid on, please look elsewhere.

Trisha and Jackie have a deep and abiding love of the Lake District. Their wish for you is to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, the magnificent views, the spectacular wildlife and the rare and beautiful plants, all of which you will find at North Lakes. They look forward to welcoming you this year and for many years to come.
